Wear your blue and gold tomorrow

Due to a planned power outage for September 26th for the Hillsboro area, Hillsboro Elementary students will have a remote learning day. All students will have a paper and pencil packet that they will need to complete at home. All other schools will attend school on regular schedule with no interruption.
Thank you.
Thank you.

HES students are enjoying a wonderful lunch. Cook Amy really outdid herself—homemade meatloaf, creamy mashed potatoes, warm rolls, sweet peaches, and crisp carrots? That’s comfort food at its finest. 🍽️👏 #schoollunch #cookamy #comfortfood

The kindergarten class raised caterpillars and fed them milkweed, their favorite food! They watched them grow, form chrysalises, and finally become beautiful butterflies.

After reading Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis,
Ms. Mitchell's 5th-grade class dove deeper into the history of the Great Depression by creating their own miniature Hoovervilles. Inspired by the book’s depiction of these makeshift communities, students used cardboard, fabric, and other recycled materials to build shelters that reflected the struggles and resilience of people during that time. This hands-on project helped students connect literature to real-world history.
