Hillsboro Elementary did an amazing job during the American Heart Challenge! Together, our school raised over $1,220 to support heart health and lifesaving education.
👏 A huge shoutout to our top fundraisers: Layton, Owen, James, Bentley, and Bodee — fantastic work!
💓 We’re also proud to share that 16 families learned Hands-Only CPR, and 6 students successfully completed Finn’s Challenge, building skills that can truly save lives.
🏆 Congratulations to our Kindergarten class, who raised the most funds overall! As a reward, they will get to enjoy some special time with Kasha, the emotional support dog from Green Bank. 🐾

Excitement was buzzing throughout the school this morning! 🐝🎉
Ms. Boback’s class received eggs to incubate 🥚🏫, and the children were thrilled to choose their very own eggs. They have been patiently waiting ⏳😊, and this morning their excitement paid off when a chick hatched! 🐥💛 Ms. Ember is a proud chick mom.
Students will also have the special opportunity to adopt their chick 🏡🐔 and take it home, making this a memorable and hands‑on learning experience for everyone involved 📚❤️.

Students in 2nd through 5th grade were given the opportunity to design this year’s cover for Hillsboro Elementary’s 2025–2026 yearbook 📘, and we were thrilled with the level of participation and creativity shown 🎨✨. We received many wonderful entries that truly highlighted our students’ talents 🌟.

It’s almost here! It’s our final weeks of Kids Heart Challenge! We are having a blast learning how to keep our hearts and minds healthy and happy. I’m so proud of our students and families.
Together, our efforts will help to save lives!
There’s still time to help us reach our goal of 50% of our families joining our team. When that happens our school will earn a $500 gift certificate for physical activity and recess equipment to support the health of our school community.[JW1.1]
Here’s how you can help:

3. Complete Finn’s Mission: Complete all 7 steps, learn Hands-Only CPR, and be entered to win two Super Bowl tickets!

Our preschoolers enjoyed a cozy afternoon of snuggle and read! Each child selected a brand‑new book and a fuzzy blanket of their own. They then settled in while someone read their new book with them, all wrapped up in their cozy blanket.

Students from all of our schools came together to take on a challenging and highly competitive event that showcased their problem-solving skills, perseverance, and passion for math. 🧠📐
The competition was fierce, with many students separated by just a single point in the final standings—proof of the incredible depth of talent across our region. Every participant should be applauded for the effort, focus, and determination they brought to the day.
A special acknowledgment goes to Eli, Joseph, and Noah, who were selected as alternates for the Statewide Competition!
