The students have been working very hard on their tests. For a break this afternoon, the staff took on the mighty 5th graders on a game of kickball. The staff took no mercy and dominated the game, winning 11 to 5.
The 4th and 5th grade played the boom wackers for the board members at the LSIC meeting. Grant was recognized for winning 1st grade young writers. Lydia and Simon talked about how many fairs they have competed in this year. Madison received a large poster of her design that won 1st place in the annual fire safety calendar. Finn, Rivera, and Myka presented their West Virginia salt dough projects and books.
Last call for yearbooks. The online order form will expire Monday evening or you can send money to school Tuesday morning.
Hillsboro Elementary school will begin state testing this week. With a good nights sleep and a nutritious breakfast students will be able to put forth their best effort. Please be on time for school and make every effort to attend each day.

Wednesday May 8th will be 3rd grade Math.
Thursday May 9th will be 4th & 5th grade Math.
