Good evening Hillsboro Families! We have a few reminders for the upcoming days.
Tomorrow, Friday the 21st, is a three hour early out for students.
Monday the 24th PTO will be meeting after school.
Wednesday the 26th there will be spring pictures.
Thursday the 27th will be the beginning of Adventure Pocahontas field trips for our 3rd Graders.
Every Friday for the remainder of the year, 2nd through 5th graders will be walking to our Farm to School project. Please dress appropriately.
Tuesday is bus drivers appreciation day and Wednesday is school secretary appreciation day. Please thank all of these individuals for all they do to help the students of our school!

Good evening Hillsboro Families! Grammy winner Hunter Berry will be joining us in Music class all week. There will also be a performance at the Opera House in Marlinton on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at seven o'clock. Please bring your child so they can perform with the old time musicians.
Spring Break will begin on Friday April 7th and continue through the following week. We will return to school on Monday, April the 17th.

Monday, March 13th is a PL day for staff. Students do not have school.
Green Bank Elementary Middle school has invited Hillsboro Elementary School to wear blue and gold in honor of James DeHaven tomorrow, Thursday, March 2nd. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
Hillsboro Elementary School is now accepting applications for preschool enrollment. If your child turns 4 before June 30, 2023, please stop by the school or contact Mrs. Maria Hall at 304-653-4221 for more information.
All Pocahontas County Schools will operate on a 3-hour delay for Monday, February 27, 2023. Staff will report at their regular time. Counseling services for students and staff will be available at the individual schools. Please keep the Green Bank community and their families in your hearts as they navigate the passing of a student.

All students participating in Hillsboro basketball needs to complete a sports physical or wellness visit in the last six months prior to starting practice.
PMH will offer free sports physicals at the Hillsboro clinic on Monday, January 30th from four o'clock to six thirty. To schedule an appointment call 799-6200.
