Good Evening Hillsboro Families! Due to the predicted negative temperatures for tomorrow the reward tubing trip to Snowshoe has been rescheduled again. We will go next Thursday February 3rd. I am sorry for the inconvenience but the predicted temperatures next week will allow for a more enjoyable trip. Thank you.

Good Evening Hillsboro Families! Due to the predicted negative temperatures for Wednesday the reward tubing trip to Snowshoe has been rescheduled for Thursday January 27th.

Good Evening Hillsboro Families, Fourth and Fifth Grade basketball and Kindergarten through Fifth Grade Cheerleading will practice this Tuesday and Thursday January 25th and 27th after school. Tuesday will begin with a parent meeting. Thank you.

Santa Claus came to HES!

Today Nature's Mountain Classroom welcomed almost 200 students to Snowshoe Mountain!!! 93% of them were first time skiers!! Between the skiing, snow games & hot chocolate 100% of the children had an amazing day!! Our hearts are so full of gratitude to everyone who had a hand in making today such a huge success!! Thank you, Tracey Valach, for your amazing dedication to bring this program to the children of Pocahontas County!

All 3rd-5th grade students please remember to dress warmly in layers for their trip to Snowshoe tomorrow Thursday, December 9th. Students will need snow boots, ski pants, gloves, and a warm waterproof jacket.

We do not need the reading books since we were required to adopt new materials this year. You may return them to the school that is closest to your home if that would help. This summer students from all three elementary schools enjoyed a month of Summer Opportunities' for Learning and Engagement at Pocahontas County High School. Students participated in events around a different theme each week including: sports, West Virginia, beach, and farming.
