🌟 November Character Trait: Compassion 🌟

Throughout November, our focus was on Compassion—showing kindness, empathy, and care for others. Each teacher selected students from their class who truly demonstrated this important trait.

We are so proud of these students for leading by example and making our school a more caring place! 💙

👏 Congratulations to all our Compassion Stars!

🏁 Racing Toward Attendance! 🏁

Yesterday, we celebrated our amazing staff and students who achieved perfect attendance for November! 🎉

This month’s theme was all about speed and determination—“Racing Toward Attendance”—and our students who crossed the finish line with perfect attendance received a car keychain for their bookbags! 🚗✨

A huge shoutout to Mrs. Gina Hardesty’s class, who took the checkered flag for the second time this year with an incredible 99.3% attendance for November! 🏆👏

They also earned a special door magnet for bragging rights!
Thank you to everyone for making attendance a priority. Let’s keep racing toward success! 💨📚

🎈 Balloons Over Broadway Comes to Hillsboro Elementary! 🎈

Ms. Hardesty’s class has been learning all about Balloons Over Broadway and the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. They discovered that Santa Claus is always the last to appear in the parade, signaling the start of the holiday season! 🎅✨
After their study, our creative students designed their own balloons and hosted a parade right here at school! 🥳 It was an amazing way to combine history, art, and fun. Great job, students, for bringing this festive tradition to life! 🍂🦃
